Lime Venue Portfolio’s partners, responsibilities and values
Lime Venue Portfolio has joined the global effort to reach net zero carbon emissions, joining its parent company, Compass Group UK & Ireland, in its commitment to the UN’s Race to Zero campaign. The Compass Group UK & Ireland became the first in the industry to publish a Net Zero plan.
In support of this goal, Compass Group UK & Ireland has published a Climate Promise and Roadmap to Net Zero, which together provides more detail on the philosophies and milestones it will champion in this decade. We’re proud to support these plans by driving change for our planet within the events industry.
When you choose a Lime Venue Portfolio space, you’ve already made a difference.
Championing change in the events industry
On behalf of our venue members, we are calling out for a food revolution in the meetings, conference and events world – to fight for our planet! Our size and scale empower us to make a difference, and we don’t plan to let this opportunity go to waste.
Using our voice in the UK meetings industry, Lime Venue Portfolio will be a catalyst for change within the sector. This will include educating event organisers, the third-party UK event agency market, and the delegates attending our events.

The four pillars at the core of our CSR
Alongside our net zero commitment, our corporate responsibility strategy is based upon four pillars: Sourcing, People, Environment and Health.
Sourcing: We take great care to find ethical, sustainable products. We work exclusively with suppliers who manage their social and environmental impacts ethically and responsibly.
People: Our business is truly people-powered: they are the heart and soul of what we do. From offering a range of apprenticeships at all levels to championing diversity throughout the business, we help colleagues excel at Lime Venue Portfolio.
Environment: We know where we need to improve, and where our efforts can make the most difference. Reducing and processing our waste production is our main focus, whether it's the food we throw away, packaging or general waste.
Health: We’re always looking for new ways to reduce fat, salt and sugar from our menus. Eating a nutritious, balanced diet is the cornerstone of wellbeing, while a poor diet can eventually lead to many health problems. Every week, we feed people all over the country, making us uniquely placed to help people make better choices about their diet and lifestyle.
