A Broader Commitment to Industry Advancement

As the lead sponsor of the People & Culture Theatre, Lime Venue Portfolio has collaborated with Diversity Alliance to co-develop an engaging content programme that underscores its commitment to fostering innovation, inclusion, and impact in the events industry.

Coinciding with these educational programmes is the launch of Lime Venue Portfolio’s new ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Event Planning Guide series. Released over 12 months, the guides offer practical frameworks for member venues and event organisers to incorporate ESG principles into their events. Following the successful launch of the ‘E’ (Environmental) Guide in November, the ‘S’ (Social) Guide will debut at International Confex. This initiative reflects Lime Venue Portfolio’s broader strategy to promote sustainability, social impact, and lasting event legacies across the industry.

These themes will be explored at the People & Culture Theatre. Highlights include:

A panel discussion on day one, titled “Amplifying Event Impact: Strategies for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Legacies”. Chaired by Jo Austin, this session will explore how social and community impact programmes can enhance delegate experiences, enrich event content, and create lasting legacies.

On Day two, “Event Culture and Society: Best Practice Demonstrated Through 3 Event Case Studies” will be led by Kerry Wright, Head of Sales of Lime Venue Portfolio, with expert speakers including Robert Dunsmore: The Scotland Hattrick, World Soil Science / COP26 / Invisible Cities, Anita Howard: Corporate (ICE) (TBC), and Sammy Connell of NASUWT and ABPCO. This session will showcase how events such as the NASUWT Annual Congress and the World Soil Science Congress combined strong people policies with social good to achieve better ROI.

Later in the day, Jenner Carter, Head of Marketing of LVP, will take to the stage with Neil Thompson of The Delegate Wranglers, for Building Communities: The First Law of Event Marketing, which will delve into the role of community marketing in successful event strategies. Topics will include influencer and digital marketing, partner and stakeholder engagement, and insights from The Delegate Wranglers, the industry’s largest social community.

International Confex runs from 26-27 February at ExCeL London.
