Lime Venue Portfolio has continued its growth within the stadia and sporting venue sector with the announcement of Swansea City FC joining the portfolio. The news follows on from the announcement, late in 2022, of Rangers FC and Brentford FC both of whom joined the 20 other sporting venues within the portfolio.
The news underlines the continuing interest in sporting venues within the meetings and events community as they combine locality with premium hospitality, and elite sport with corporate messaging. The Swansea.com Stadium is already recognised for its conference and events facility and will help Lime Venue Portfolio to continue to serve the thousands of enquires it receives, looking for venues across the UK + Ireland.
The stadium itself underlines why more and more event planners are considering venues such as these, situated close to rail and road routes, with large car parks, and featuring a range of suites that accommodate meetings and dinners from 8 to 600 guests.
“We are so delighted to be announcing another brilliant venue to our portfolio this early in 2023,” commented Jo Austin, Sales Director, Lime Venue Portfolio. “From Brentford to Rangers and now Swansea City, we’re now able to offer these super local, highly flexible venues that have national, and often international, profile to our customers. The facilities at the Swansea.com stadium are second to none, luxurious, flexible and with really, really good food and service.”
“We’re already a big part of Wales’ sporting heritage and our aspirations are to continue to grow as a major part of the UK’s meetings and events industry,” commented Alex Griffiths, Head of Operations, Swansea.com Stadium. “We’re a modern venue and we represent the best of sport, health, hospitality and of course Wales. It makes us a really natural choice for corporates across the UK and beyond.”
The Swansea.com stadium will join other UK icons in the portfolio, including Twickenham, The King Power Stadium, home of Leicester City, and The City Ground, home of newly promoted Nottingham Forest as well as Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United, Cardiff City, Watford FC, and Tottenham Hotspur.
